Named after the Dutch city of Leiden, and following the production of butter, this traditional Dutch cheese was made by mixing in cumin seeds to the curd prior to being pressed. Nice addition to a sandwich; melt; enjoy on a cheese plate.
Taste: Creamy, nutty, tangy flavor; becomes more aromatic as it ages.
Pairings: Riesling, Syrah, Belgium and Dutch Ales.
Made with pasteurized cow's milk and traditional rennet.
