This Gooda--but not a Gouda because of its slightly higher fat content--is made by a Dutch, farmer-owned co-op whose livestock are 100% grass fed. 30% seaweed, herbs, 5% lavender, carrot and hibiscus have been blended throughout giving it a rich purple hue. Enjoy its unique color on a cheese board with sweet or savory items like strawberries, figs, honey, rosemary crackers, nuts or chocolate.
Taste: Creamy, smooth and rich with floral notes.
Pairings: Rosé, Syrah, Zinfandel or sweet dessert wines like Viognier or Eiswein.
Made with pasteurized cow's milk and vegetarian rennet.
