Named in honor of their Portuguese heritage--and coincidentally their 5th cheese-- Quinta is made in Point Reyes, California by the Giacomini family whose commitment to farm steading began over 100 years ago. Inspired by Vacherin Mont d’Or, this soft-ripened cheeses bark wrapping has been soaked in a bay leaf tea and packaged with a bay leaf on top. After cutting off the top, enjoy on a board with a baguette or rustic cracker, potatoes, cornichons, smoked ham, and apple.
Taste: Creamy, herbaceous and woodsy; notes of buttermilk.
Pairings: Dry Alsace wine, Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Beaujolais.
Made with pasteurized cow's milk and traditional rennet.
