Originally made from reindeer milk, this cheese of Finnish origin (also known as Juustoleipä) is baked during the cheese making process to caramelize the outside and form a crust. This version is made by Carr Valley Cheese of Wisconsin. Warm and top with jam or honey and nuts; can store in fridge for several weeks or frozen for several months.
Taste: Sweet, mild, buttery; (squeaky).
Made with pasteurized cow's milk and traditional rennet.
