A 1st place winner in 2025 at both the American Cheese Society and the U.S. Championship Cheese Contests, this Pepper Jack is made in northern Vermont by Cabot Creamery. A co-op made up of family-owned farms since 1919, Cabot traditionally specializes in cheddars, but this cheese has jalapeño blended into the curd for a spicy kick. Enjoy on crackers, sandwiches or burgers and melted on nachos, pasta or egg dishes; pair with sweet fruits like mango. Taste: Buttery and slightly sweet with a little bit of heat. Pairings: Zinfandel, Moscato; IPAs, wheat beers, or light lagers; Margaritas Made with pasteurized cow's milk and microbial rennet.
