An artisan cheese made by the family-owned Val di Susa dairy in the Piedmont region of the Italian Alps--less than one hour from France--Moncenisio is made year round in small batches using milk from cows who enjoy alpine meadows in the summer and valley pastures in the winter. Enjoy with sweet chutneys, confits,
mostardas or just plain local honey.
Tasting: Dense yet creamy with a slightly sweet spicy finish; becomes more spicy with age.
Pairing: Full bodied, red wines, sweet wines, liqueurs and aperitifs.
Made with pasteurized cow's milk and traditional rennet. A non-GMO product.
