Oval in shape and individually handmade, this small brie-like cheese is made at a small dairy in the Champagne region of France. Extra creme-fraiche is added to the milk, creating a double-crème morsel, and a decorative leaf is added to the top. Enjoy with soups, salads, pasta dishes and chicken.
Taste: Creamy, slightly sour, tangy, pleasant lactic tang, slightly salty, faint grassy, earthy notes.
Pairings: Champagne, white Cote du Rhone, light red Burgundy, Merlot, Alsatian reds and whites.
Made with pasteurized cow's milk and traditional rennet.
