One of France’s smellier cheeses, Livarot is nicknamed ‘the Colonel’ because of it’s stripes, once necessary to keep it from losing its shape. Serve with some hearty bread, a few grapes or other fresh fruit.
Taste: Strong and spicy in flavor with a
tangy after taste.
Pairings: Young, dry red wine , hard cider;
Calvados.
Made with pasteurized cow's milk and traditional rennet.
